Need an excuse to get out of the house? Research continues to demonstrate that being outside and experiencing nature can improve our mental and physical health and increase our ability to focus. Evidently 2 hours a week is the magic mark. Below that our times in nature have little impact. However “out in nature” has many definitions. Even watching a nature documentary can count.
It’s time to sign up for the Spirituality of Gardening webinar in which we will discuss some of the ways we can interact both with nature and with our God who is revealed through every aspect of the natural world. My research this week has drawn me into new possibilities and exciting opportunities which I want to share with you. This will be a fun, creative and informative session. And it is only one week away.
Spirituality of Gardening – A virtual retreat
On May 11 from 9:30-12:30 pm PT (check my timezone) We will discuss connections between community, spirituality and gardening. Explore the wonderful ways that God and God’s story are revealed through the rhythms of planting, growing and harvesting as well as the beauty of nature. This webinar is for anyone who admires the beauty of God’s good creation, likes to walk in nature, sit by the ocean or just relax and listen to the birds in the trees. It is based on my popular book, To Garden with God and each participant will receive a digital copy of this book.
NOTE: The length of this retreat has been changed – 2 hours just wasn’t long enough to enter into the joy of God’s great creation and share all I wanted to with you.
