Loved this video Christine! " King" reminds me of Superiority and Dominance both of which Jesus truly was the opposite of when he walked the earth! However " King" image does nothing of the kind! Yes I think that an increasing number of Jesus followers struggle with the king imagery of Jesus because of what it brings to mind. Some people now use “kinship rather than kingship.
In my church in Canada people are re-writing all the Christmas hymns to take out the words Lord and King. I like your viewpoint better than merely removing the words without further theological thought.
